How to Use Cloudflare IP Updater

by Weerapat Aphiphuwong

In today's world, accessing the internet and network services remotely has become essential for both individual users and organizations. Whether it's accessing important files from home, managing CCTV systems, or working from different locations, ensuring your domain always points to the correct IP is crucial for continuous and secure operation.

For those using Cloudflare to manage DNS, changes in the IP of the device connecting to the internet often cause the DNS not to match the new IP, preventing immediate access to websites or services hosted on that device.

Cloudflare IP Updater is a tool that automatically solves this problem. The program can detect the current IP of the device and update the domain's A Record on Cloudflare immediately, ensuring websites and services remain accessible without interruption due to IP changes.

1. Prepare the Host Device

Cloudflare IP Updater currently supports only Windows/Windows Server. In this example, we use Windows 11.

First, download the program from this link: Download-Cloudflare-IP-Updater-EN as shown below:

2. After downloading, unzip the file and open the program as shown below:

You will notice the program automatically detects your public IP.

3. Fill in all required fields

Enter the information as follows:
- Zone Name: Your domain name, e.g., example.com (the system will automatically convert it to Zone ID)
- Record Names: DNS Records to update, e.g., example.com
or www.example.com (Sub Domain). For multiple domains, separate with a comma (,) - API Token: Enter your Cloudflare API Token
(See how to create Cloudflare API Token Only Thai Version)

4. You can test by clicking Update Now. If correct, the Logs will indicate "is already up-to-date."

5. By checking Enable Auto Update, you can select the update interval

6. Once the interval is set, the system will automatically update the IP according to the schedule and display the status in the Logs

That's it! From now on, the system will automatically update your IP as configured.
